Picanol produces high-tech weaving machines, both air jet and rapier. The company started in 1936 and has manufactured more than 360.000 looms, from which nowadays there are more than 175.000 still working all over the world. The production of looms for the Spanish market is always made in the factory of Ieper (Belgium), where more than 1.000 people work.
